The Austrian archducal coronet, 1616

The archducal coronet consists of an ermine-trimmed red velvet cap (corresponding to the form of an elector’s hat) encircled by a crown-like diadem with eight points. It is spanned by two intersecting hoops, a symbol of royalty.
