The project was commissioned and funded by Schloss Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsges.m.b.H.

A number of teams worked over a period of roughly two years on the World of the Habsburgs. The thematic design and the preparation of the content is the responsibility of a team of historians at the University of Vienna under the direction of Prof. Franz X. Eder and Prof. Karl Vocelka. Structural design, development and communication were handled by the two historians Mag. Josef Köstlbauer and Mag. Martin Gasteiner.

The content management system and the barrier free interface were developed in Denmark by Bernhard Snizek / on the basis of the open source software Plone.

Visualisation, design and interface were prepared and implemented by the Vienna design collective dform.
