Heldenberg

1848

The Heldenberg (Heroes’ Hill) is a monumental complex dating from the mid-nineteenth century which celebrates with great pathos the role of the Imperial-Royal Army as a pillar of the Habsburg dynasty. Situated in Kleinwetzdorf, fifty kilometres north-west of Vienna, today it is owned by the Republic of Austria and is open to the public.
