Schloss Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsgesellschaft uses its Internet pages and newsletters to inform persons interested in culture (from around the world) about what is available at the properties it manages. This concerns not only the permanent programme in the various facilities but above all the current events/exhibitions and short and medium-term building projects.

1. General

Personal user data is only processed by Schloss Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsgesellschaft (hereinafter " The World of the Habsburgs") in accordance with the provisions of Austrian data protection law.

The following paragraphs set out the manner, scope and purpose of the collection, processing and use of personal data within the The World of the Habsburgs web presence.

The World of the Habsburgs store the user data communicated carefully; however, no liability can be assumed for hacker attacks.

2. Automatic data recording

For technical reasons, the user data communicated by the user's Internet browser to The World of the Habsburgs and recorded includes the following:
• browser type and version;
• operating system used;
• website from which the user visits www.habsburger.net (referrer URL)
• website that the user visits;
• date and time of the access;
• Internet protocol (IP) address of the user's computer.

This data is stored separately from any user data communicated (in particular name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, language – for details see Section 3) and is analysed for statistical purposes to help us optimise the Internet presence and what is offered on habsburger.net (see also Section 5 of this data protection declaration).

3. Use of data

3.1 When orders are placed, the following personal details are requested: name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, language, age (adult or child ticket), membership of family or group (in the case of family, student, group tickets). For press accreditation, the medium, working title and a short description of the project are also required. Where organisers make online reservations, the organiser's PIN must be stated.

The personal data communicated when an order is being placed will be used exclusively for the processing of the contract. Payment information is protected by means of an encrypted process and is only used for the handling of payments.

3.2 In the case of the use of contact forms or participation in competitions, the following data is collected: name, e-mail, telephone number if needed, postal address if needed. This data is used exclusively for a reply to the contact and for the holding of the competition.

3.3 If you register for our newsletter and company magazines, the following data is collected: name, e-mail, postal address. This data is used exclusively for the sending of the newsletter/company magazines requested.

4. Cookies

The World of the Habsburgs uses cookies for the purpose of the provision of its services. Cookies are small text files deposited and stored on your computer's Internet browser. This allows The World of the Habsburgs to recognise multiple use of their web material by the same user. You can prevent the installation of cookies by means of a corresponding setting in your browser software; The World of the Habsburgs would like to point out, however, that this might prevent you from using all the functions of this website to the full extent

5. Analysis of the The World of the Habsburgs Internet site

In order to improve and optimise its web presence, The World of the Habsburgs uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address communicated to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will as service provider for The World of the Habsburgs use the information collected through the use of Google Analytics on the The World of the Habsburgs website in order to analyse the use of the websites, to compile reports about website activities and to provide additional services to The World of the Habsburgs connected with the use of the websites and the Internet. The IP address communicated by the user's browser within Google Analytics is not linked to other Google data. By using The World of the Habsburgs site, the user confirms his or consent to Google's processing of the data collected about you in the manner described and for the purposes stated. 6.1 What social plug-ins are used?

In their Internet presence, The World of the Habsburgs make use of the following social networks' social plug-ins (e.g. "share", "like" buttons):

6.2 Data transfer by social plug-ins

If a user registered and currently logged into a social network accesses The World of the Habsburgs that contains such a plug-in, the user's browser uses cookies placed by the social network and the plug-in on the habsburger.net site create a direct link to the social network's servers. Social networks may also use the plug-in to recognise that a logged user is at habsburger.net without the plug-in being clicked.

By integrating the plug-in, the operator of the social network obtains the information that the user has accessed the corresponding The World of the Habsburgs Internet site. If the user interacts with social plug-ins, the corresponding information is communicated directly from his browser to the operator of the social network and stored there.

6.3 "A second click to share the page"

In order to draw the express attention of The World of the Habsburgs Internet site user to this data transfer, it is necessary to click a social plug-in a second time on the habsburger.net site and only then is the sharing of the page activated. Please note the declaration of consent to the use of social plug-ins. We expressly refer in this connection to the data protection notices of Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.

6.4 Notice

If users do not wish social network operators to collect data about them through The World of the Habsburgs Internet presence, they must logout of social networks before visiting the The World of the Habsburgs Internet presence. Declaration of consent for the use of www.habsburger.net

I have read The World of the Habsburgs data protection declaration and in the light of this declaration issue the following consent:

1. I consent to my IP address and my log files (data about the use of the habsburger.net site) being used for a statistical analysis of the The World of the Habsburgs Internet presence. For this purpose, The World of the Habsburgs makes use of Google Analytics, which means that IP addresses and log files of my visit to the habsburger.net site are communicated to Google Inc. as service provider for the purpose of analysing the use of the habsburger.net site. The extension "_anonymizeIp()" means that my IP address is anonymized and is consequently no longer directly person-related. I note that I have the possibility of preventing the storage of cookies by means of a corresponding setting of my browser software, which may lead to me not being able to use all the functions of the website to the full extent.
